complete vice rebuild here, step by step.

this first picture is what it looks like fully assembled in/on the fixture

lets get started,

----------------------------------------

Put these spring pins in

there is 2 of these spring pins to put in, one on the top half and one on the bottom half.
each one has 3 parts to it..
pin (one has a hole/notch)
spring
and
screw to hold it in place
(use anti-seize)

look at the picture(s) below, the pin i circled in red has a hole/notch in it. that pin goes in the bottom half of the vice.

the other pin didnt have that hole/notch and it goes in the top half of the vice

----------------------------------------

Put these plates on (2 identical plates)
(use anti-seize)

put the notch facing the larger part of the vice
(see pictures below)

----------------------------------------

Put this smaller plate on
it goes on the lower bottom vice

dont put this on upside-down - look at the ASSEMBLED picture below

----------------------------------------

Working with the long shaft/stem

in this order from the bottom slide over the threads all the way up the shaft ...
washer
bearing
washer
then the rubber o-ring
dont forget the o-ring !!

(arrow is pointing to o-ring)

after these 4 items are put on
washer, bearing, washer, rubber o-ring
then slide the shaft/stem through the TOP vice

Now is a good time to apply grease to the
washer,
bearing,
Washer

after its slid through the TOP vice make sure the o-ring stayed in its place

----------------------------------------

Put the Rotor Clip Retaining Ring on,
then put the  3/16 Rod Wiper Seal (cut one side of the seal to slip it around)

Now grease the threads on the end of the stem,
screw the stem into the bottom vice,

slide the 3/16 Rod Wiper Seal down onto the vice,
slide the Rotor Clip Retaining Ring down onto the vice

Next press the Rotor Clip Retaining Ring into the bottom vice

----------------------------------------

Working with the bottom vice

first put this screw cap on (see pic below)

(use anti-seize)

----------------------------------------

Take the bottom assembly and make sure the 9/64 cap screw and the plate move freely
(use anti-seize)

----------------------------------------

Put the the bottom assembly on
2 springs
2 bolts
2 washers
(use anti-seize)

----------------------------------------

Preparing to put the top plate on

First you need to put a washer, bearing, washer on that i circled in GREEN on the RIGHT side of this picture

ignore the washerbearingwasher that i circled in RED on the left side of the picture, you already put those on earlier in this tutorial

before you put the top plate on, make sure the top washer sits flush
(see below picture)

----------------------------------------

once confirmed its flush, put the top plate on with 2 screws
(use anti-seize)

there should be NO gap between the top plate and the vice
(see below pic)

(2 screws 6-32 x 3/8 hex socket head cap screws)
